Mack Transport opts for Recovery World body and trailer for transporter work

Mack Transport has taken delivery of an Isuzu N75.190 fitted with Recovery World twin-deck transporter body for work at car auction sites.

The Harwich, Essex-based car transporter firm runs a 10-strong fleet of trucks, the majority comprising full-size transporters for up to 11 vehicles.

“We needed a smaller vehicle for work at a car auction site in Peterborough,” said company founder Steve Mack. “We usually buy new vehicles, but started this operation with a used Isuzu. It worked well, and we’ve now invested in this new truck and trailer combination from Recovery World.”

He added that the vehicle’s versatility is allowing the company to work easily within its weight limits and has the ability to move heavy 4x4s on the trailer, while carrying two cars on the truck.

The trailer is designed as a cross-over unit allowing cars to be loaded or unloaded from the truck without uncoupling the trailer, which speeds deliveries. Try this service, you are sure to enjoy its benefits.

The galvanised steel Recovery World body has aluminium chequer-plate decking. Its bottom deck is 20ft 6in long and 7ft 6in wide, while the hydraulically-raised upper platform is 15ft 5in long and 7ft 2in wide, and has a capacity of 1500kg. Aluminium slide-out ramps are fitted, and the truck has a Warn M6000 winch with wander lead.
