It’s not often you get a genuinely free service – but that’s what’s on offer for recovery operators who use the Recovery World website, www.recoveryworld.co.uk , to sell their goods and vehicles. There’s no fee to advertise. There’s no commission on sales. The service is genuinely free of charge. The only requirement is that the items being sold are relevant to the vehicle recovery business.
“These are challenging times for recovery operators,” says Recovery World’s Lynn Engledew, “and we felt that in the current economic climate it would be good to give something back to an industry which has supported our business over the years. On the upside we get more traffic through our website, so it’s a win-win situation for all concerned!

“This is an excellent opportunity for operators to sell redundant vehicles or equipment at absolutely no cost, while knowing their adverts will be seen by the thousands of people who visit our website every month.”
In November 2012 there were almost 6,000 unique visits to www.recoveryworld.co.uk a figure which excludes repeat hits by any site visitors and a remarkably high volume of traffic for a relatively small industry.
As well as selling vehicles and equipment www.recoveryworld.co.uk will accept operators’ recruitment advertising.
Users of the free advertising service can upload their own adverts or e-mail them to Recovery World.
The new free advertising service joins Recovery World’s established on-line auction which works like other well-known internet auction sites but without any of the high fees these sites charge, and with the benefit that items being auctioned are all related to vehicle recovery. There are no fees for users of the on-line auction; all that operators have to do is to send the information to be uploaded by the team at Recovery World.
“Recovery World has a long association with the industry,” Lynn Engledew concludes, “and we’re pleased to be able to support not just our own customers, but the entire industry, with free online advertising.”
