Ontime Automotive re-affirms commitment to BEN, the automotive industry charity
Ontime Automotive, which has supported BEN, the industry’s foremost charitable organisation for a number of years, is re-affirming its support for the organisation and pledging to help promote its activities in the future.
Throughout the course of this long standing relationship Ontime has sponsored four of the charity’s annual balls and made a number of donations across various other activities, including the National BEN Week, 5-a-side football championship and the BEN Annual Lunch.
Now the business is discussing how to support BEN through the internal promotion of Payroll Giving and the possibility of business activity-related sponsorship. Managing Director of Ontime Automotive Justin Brinklow says that the charitable sector cannot be forgotten.
“In times of austerity we should focus even more on the needy because they are most at risk. BEN is a wonderful organisation which has been helping people in our industry for more than a century. It helps over 15,000 people connected to our industry and it provides support in a variety of circumstances . Unfortunately not everyone connected with our industry is fully aware of its work and we are committed to helping them wherever we can, by donating and talking about their activities.”
Fiona Gorman, BEN’s Head of Welfare, says that BEN is sometimes described as the industry’s best kept secret so they are encouraging as much discussion about their cause as possible.
“We offer a range of services, from help with one-off needs to providing long-term assistance. We arrange home visits and telephone contacts through a national network of professional welfare officers and volunteers, operating from our Head Office at Sunninghill, Ascot, Berkshire and our two regional offices in Birmingham and Edinburgh.
Ontime Automotive is a valued supporter of BEN and we are grateful for their help in funding and promoting our work.”
